Online tutoring during Coronavirus School closures
The Ontario Government has announced that following March break, all Ontario public schools will be closing for an additional 2 weeks to combat the spread of COVID-19; the “coronavirus”. It is unclear at this time how this will affect the length of the school year, and what impact it will have on Ontario students’ studies and university preparation.

Brainstorm Academy has always been proud to offer our student-driven, one-to-one tutoring services online. Whether it is Calculus, Data Management, Advanced Functions, Chemistry, Physics, Biology, or English, we can work with you and your students to ensure that they do not fall behind.
With a multitude of flexible online solutions, we can work with students from any school in Ontario. While high speed internet widens the number of options available, we even help several rural students who do not have access to high speed internet. It doesn’t matter if your student is part of the Toronto District School Board, Ottawa-Carleton District School Board, Hamilton-Wentworth District School Board, Halton District School Board, Kawartha Pine Ridge District School board, or anything in between!
As we are also a private school inspected by the Ontario Ministry of Education, we not only have a great deal of experience delivering these courses on an in-person and online format, but we also have the ability to accept students who are looking to transfer their courses from their public school to us, and continue their studies with our online platform.
With the COVID-19 Ontario school closures, we are also pleased to offer extended and flexible morning and afternoon time slots for our students stuck at home.
Some students might be tempted to view this extended school closure as simply time off school, but those in grade 12 preparing for university know that they will still be responsible for being familiar with and completing all their coursework and curriculum. We can help to ensure that your student is prepared for whatever their educational aspirations may be!
No matter how you choose to keep your children up to date on their schoolwork, please stay safe, and prepared. The following are several resources to help keep yourself informed:
